National MDCAT 2020 notification and syllabus
Here are the points announced by PMC.
1: National MDCAT is going to be held in 2nd week of November.
2: Test will be created by NUMS on the basis of the common FSc syllabus of all Pakistan.
3: The syllabus of the test is the same as that was announced by NUMS earlier. Students can use that syllabus for National MDCAT preparation.
4: Passing marks of National MDCAT (NMDCAT) is 60%.
5: It is necessary to pass NMDCAT for admission in any public sector or private medical college.
6: Merit will be created by each province SEPARATELY for public sector medical colleges of their particular province.
7: Admission in NUMS affiliated Medical colleges will be on the basis of the NUMS test being held on 11th October 2020.
8: Admission to Agha Khan medical university will be on the basis of their own test, but passing NMDCAT is mandatory for admission.
9: Admission in Private sector medical colleges will be conducted by PMC using a centralized system for merit. This merit will include a 50% weightage of NMDCAT + FSc (or equivalent) weightage (exact weightage is currently not announced
by PMDC)
